It depends on scope. A single-room Sonos setup starts from $4,995. A six-camera CCTV system starts from $7,995. Our full Smart Home Essentials Bundle — media room, whole-home CCTV and enterprise WiFi — starts from $15,995. Every quote is fixed price (subject to site survey and conditions), so once we've scoped the job you know exactly what you're paying. Browse all packages →
In most cases, yes. We design around what you already own where it makes sense — your TV, AV receiver, NBN connection and even some existing alarm panels can usually be integrated. During the in-home walkthrough we'll tell you honestly what's worth keeping and what's worth upgrading. See all services →
For the site survey and the final handover, yes — we want you to be across how everything works. For the install itself, an adult on-site at the start and end of the day is usually enough. Many of our customers leave us a key and head to work.
Yes — we do a lot of work for renters. Sonos audio, mesh WiFi, smart plugs and entry-level CCTV with adhesive or freestanding mounts are all renter-friendly options that come with you when you move. Anything involving wall penetrations or wiring will need owner sign-off. We'll be clear about what's reversible during the quote.
Workmanship is covered by us for 12 months. Hardware carries its manufacturer warranty — typically 2–5 years depending on brand. We're the people you call either way: if something breaks under warranty we coordinate the replacement, and if it's a config or firmware issue we sort it remotely where possible. We've been in Canberra since 1981 — we're still here when you need us.
Three different tiers for three different jobs. Hikvision is our entry-level option for CCTV — reliable cameras at a sharp price, ideal for sheds, outbuildings, rentals and granny flats. UniFi (Ubiquiti) is our premium residential pick — enterprise-grade cameras and networking with better low-light, hardware AI on the NVR, and years of firmware updates. Control4 is whole-home automation — one app and one interface controlling lighting, climate, audio, cameras and locks together. We size the system to the home, not the other way around. A single-service install — TV mount, Sonos bar, small camera job — is often booked within a couple of weeks of the site visit and finished in a day. A whole-home bundle or new-build pre-wire is typically 4–8 weeks from quote to handover depending on lead times for any equipment that needs ordering. We give you a realistic timeline at the quote, not after.
Yes — this is more common than people realise. Whether it's an abandoned new-build pre-wire, a Control4 system that needs new programming, or a half-finished CCTV install, we can usually pick it up. We'll do a site survey first so we can be honest about what's salvageable and what's not.
